Lisbon Art and Antiques Fair arrives at Cordoaria Nacional on April 14th. The 23rd edition of the event will be attended by 21 gallerists and antique dealers from the national art scene, 4 international exhibitors and a large exhibition area.
It is already on April 14 that the most emblematic Fair of Art and Antiques of Portugal returns to the capital to occupy the space of the National Cordoaria, where it will be open until April 22. The event dedicated to Antiques and Contemporary Art, which brings together, since 1995, the main representatives of the sector in one space, in this 23rd edition, brings to the public 25 national and international reference exhibitors, also offering visitors a wide exhibition area. The event is promoted by the Portuguese Antiquarian Association (APA) in partnership with the National Museum of Ancient Art. and Horta Osório Wines.
Among antique dealers and gallerists, in 2018 will participate in the event 21 references of the national artistic panorama, such as António Costa Antiquities, AR-PAB / Álvaro Roquette - Pedro Aguiar-Branco, Da Época, D'Orey Azulejos e Antiquidades, Marlin 1985, Galeria Bessa Pereira - Design and Art, Gallery PM Nachbaur, São Mamede Gallery, Helder Tailor, Isabel Lopes da Silva, J. Baptista, Manuel Castilho, Manuela Gil, Manuela Lily, Microart Gallery, Miguel Arruda Antiques, Objectism - Nuno Lopes Cardoso, Ricardo Hogan Antiques, Route of Time - João Ramada, San Roque, Zarco Antiques.
Portuguese exhibitors are joined in this edition by two Spanish galleries, Beatriz Balgoma and Theotokopoulos Gallery and two of French origin, the Galleries Phillipe Mendes and Sylvie Tiago, both Parisians.
The Lisbon Art and Antiques Fair will run from Monday to Saturday from 16h00 to 23h00 and on Sundays from 12h00 to 20h00 at the Lisbon National Cordoaria and during this period other cultural activities will take place simultaneously:
On April 18, at 6 pm, Conceição Amaral - Executive Director of the Ricardo Espírito Santo Foundation - will present ‘In search of Álvaro Pires d´Évora: the“ exotic ”Portuguese painter in the Quattrocento Toscano’. Already Rui Afonso - Curator of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Museu do Chiado - will speak on April 20, at 18h00, about ‘Portuguese Design: a path of excellence '.
At the same time there will be daily wine tasting, led by winemakers from Horta Osório Wines, from Monday to Saturday, between 18:30 and 19:30 and on Sundays between 17:30 and 18:30.
For 12 € (daily single ticket) or 20 € (daily double ticket) visitors will have access to the entire exhibition, other cultural activities and a demonstration of the Ricardo Espírito Santo Foundation's conservation and restoration services, which will take place daily, in what is already considered the largest event of antiques and contemporary art in the country.
To complete the Fair experience, there will be an author's restaurant, "Espaço Caiado", directed by chef Francisco Amado who will develop an exclusive menu for this occasion harmonized with the Horta Osório Wines wines from the Douro region.
