The Fair will take place from April 17 to 26 and will be held in the emblematic space of the National Cordoaria, which in this commemorative edition, will be occupied again in full (east and west corridors) by the Fair.
The Portuguese Antiquarian Association - A.P.A., will celebrate next year 2020, the 25th anniversary of the Art and Antiques Fair, called LAAF, Lisbon Art and Antiques Fair.
The LAAF Organizing Committee is currently finalizing joint projects with the National Museum of Ancient Art, Machado de Castro Museum and Design and Fashion Museum, as well as the Elvas Contemporary Art Museum - António Cachola Collection, so that these institutions can present during the Fair thematic exhibitions with pieces of their estate, which are an additional reason of interest to the visiting public.
Following our ambitious Internationalization Plan, we expect this 2020 edition to significantly increase the number of International exhibitors, particularly Spanish and French. The number of Portuguese exhibitors will be a record number in relation to the editions of the last 10 years.
Continuing the side event “Curated Talks”, which had its first edition this year of 2019, in 2020 we will launch a new discussion theme, “Collecting the 21st century”. With several international speakers, we hope to repeat the success of the first edition of this event.
We cannot fail to mention that in this area, LAAF is the only event in Portugal in which all the works presented are subject to validation by an Expert Committee, made up of renowned Museum experts, academics and antique dealers and has a Commission of Honor that brings together personalities of political, economic and social life.
