Optimistic and aware of the uncertainties associated with the current state of the pandemic, we reorganized our activity by changing the traditional fair date from April to September, from 10th to 19th.
As is tradition, the fair will take place at Cordoaria Nacional and we plan to provide our visitors with an ambitious program. Associated with LAAF 2021, we will hold the second edition of the “Curated Talks”, this year focused on the general theme of the consequences of the Covid crisis in the Art and Antiquarian markets. Will be discussed in 5 panels, developed over 5 days of the Fair: how companies in this market area reacted to this crisis, paradigm shifts in global art markets, new technologies and methodologies in approaching markets and in the last from these panels, the results of a sector inquiry carried out by the Universidade Nova de Lisboa will be presented, through which it will be possible to quantify the true impact of the COVID crisis on the national art and antiques market.
It should be noted that once again the LAAF fair will have the High Sponsorship of His Excellency the President of the Republic.
We cannot fail to mention that in this area, the LAAF is the only event in Portugal in which all the works presented are subject to validation by an Expert Committee, composed of recognized experts from Museums, academics and antique dealers and has a Committee of Honor that brings together personalities from Political, Economic and Social life.
